In 2006 and into 2007 the State Government of NSW through the RTA has continued extensive expansion of coloured Bus Lane pavements, in both the CBD and through the Transit Bus Way projects.
Recent installations of the OMNIGRIP CST system by Boral Asphalt with in the Sydney network include the threshold and conflict points in Zone 3 along the newly completed T-way system and overlaying faded and discoloured red asphalt sections along Anzac Parade in Kingsford.
As the only exposed aggregate bonded system currently compliant with RTA R110 coloured surfacing specification, OMNIGRIP CST encompasses the unique Synthite aggregate which provides for long term colour delineation, texture depth and skid resistance.
Further examples dating back to 2004 can been seen throughout the Sydney CBD in particular at the following locations:-
- Western Distributor (Eastbound Entrance, Pyrmont)
- George St (from Druitt St to Market St)
- North End of Pitt St (Circular Quay)
- Park St (Between Elizabeth St & College St)
- Oxford St (College St to Darlinghurst Rd)
- Liverpool St (Elizabeth St to College St)
